Terms of Use
These Terms govern your access to and use of VALDICT, including the beta service, free accounts, and VALDICT+ subscriptions.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and the operator of the VALDICT service (“VALDICT,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing VALDICT, submitting a deal check, starting a trial, purchasing VALDICT+, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, do not use VALDICT.
2. Eligibility
For the beta, you must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding agreement. You may use VALDICT only in compliance with applicable law.
3. What VALDICT does
VALDICT is a consumer price-and-value analysis service. It may evaluate user-submitted prices, quotes, descriptions, links, screenshots, photos, subscriptions, products, services, travel purchases, bills, and other everyday spending decisions and return a score, verdict, estimated fair-price range, potential savings estimate, evidence, confidence level, recommendations, alternatives, or questions to ask.
VALDICT may use artificial intelligence and current public web information to generate results. Results are estimates and decision-support information, not guarantees.
4. No professional advice
VALDICT does not provide legal, financial, investment, tax, medical, insurance, engineering, appraisal, or other licensed professional advice. You are responsible for deciding whether to rely on any VALDICT result and for obtaining qualified professional advice when appropriate.
VALDICT does not negotiate with a seller or service provider for you and does not guarantee that a quoted price, alternative, savings amount, merchant, source, or recommendation is available, accurate, complete, or suitable for you.
5. AI-generated results and accuracy
VALDICT uses automated systems, including artificial intelligence. AI systems can make mistakes, misunderstand context, rely on incomplete or outdated information, or produce inaccurate conclusions. Prices and market conditions can change quickly.
You should independently verify material facts before making a purchase, signing a contract, accepting a quote, canceling a service, disputing a charge, or making another significant financial decision.
Deal Scores, fair-price ranges, confidence levels, potential savings, and similar outputs are analytical estimates. They are not appraisals, promises, warranties, or guarantees of actual market value or savings.
6. Medical and health information is prohibited during beta
VALDICT beta does not support medical or consumer health information. Do not upload or enter medical records, medical bills, diagnoses, prescriptions, laboratory results, health-insurance information, treatment information, or other health information.
We may block, reject, remove, or decline to analyze content that appears to contain prohibited health information. Automated safeguards are not perfect, particularly when information appears inside an image.
7. Your account
You are responsible for providing accurate account information, safeguarding your password and access credentials, and all activity occurring through your account. Do not share credentials in a way that permits unauthorized use.
Notify us at support@valdict.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
8. Your content
You retain ownership of content you submit to VALDICT. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to host, transmit, process, reproduce, and analyze that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service and to comply with law.
You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that doing so does not violate another person’s rights, confidentiality obligations, privacy rights, intellectual-property rights, or applicable law.
Do not submit unnecessary sensitive information, passwords, full payment-card numbers, government identification numbers, or confidential third-party information.
9. Acceptable use
You may not use VALDICT to:
- Break the law, facilitate fraud, deception, theft, abuse, or other unlawful conduct.
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to VALDICT, other accounts, systems, APIs, or infrastructure.
- Interfere with service operation, bypass usage controls, scrape the service at scale, reverse engineer protected components, or overload our systems.
- Upload malicious code, malware, or content designed to compromise another system or user.
- Misrepresent VALDICT results as a certified appraisal, professional opinion, or guaranteed price.
- Use the beta to process prohibited medical or consumer health information.
- Use VALDICT in a manner that violates third-party rights or applicable terms, policies, or laws.
10. Free service and usage limits
VALDICT may offer a free plan with a limited number of checks during each usage period. Current limits are shown in the app and may change as the beta evolves.
We may apply reasonable technical, security, fraud-prevention, or fair-use limits to any plan, including VALDICT+, to protect service reliability and prevent automated or abusive usage.
11. VALDICT+ subscriptions
VALDICT+ is a paid subscription. Available billing intervals, prices, trial terms, features, and taxes are disclosed before checkout. The price and billing interval shown at the time you subscribe control your purchase unless changed in accordance with these Terms and applicable law.
Automatic renewal
Unless you cancel before the applicable renewal date, VALDICT+ automatically renews at the selected billing interval and the payment method on file may be charged the then-applicable subscription price plus any required taxes.
Free trials
If VALDICT offers a free trial, the trial duration will be shown at checkout. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, the trial will convert to a paid subscription and automatically renew at the billing interval you selected.
Cancellation
You may cancel VALDICT+ through the billing-management portal made available from your account. Unless otherwise stated or required by law, ordinary subscription cancellation takes effect at the end of the then-current billing or trial period, and access to paid features may continue until that time.
Account deletion is different from ordinary cancellation
If you permanently delete your VALDICT account using the in-app Delete Account & Data control, VALDICT attempts to cancel any active VALDICT+ subscription or trial immediately before deleting the account. If cancellation cannot be completed, account deletion will not proceed. Successful account deletion ends access to the deleted account and may end any remaining paid or trial access immediately. Except where required by law or expressly provided in our Refund & Cancellation Policy, account deletion does not create a right to a prorated refund for unused time.
Price changes
We may change subscription pricing prospectively. If applicable law requires advance notice, we will provide it before the new price applies to a future renewal.
12. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. You authorize the payment provider to charge the payment method you provide for amounts due under your subscription.
Except where required by law or expressly stated in a separate VALDICT Refund & Cancellation Policy, fees already charged are generally non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused portions of a billing period.
If a charge appears incorrect, contact support@valdict.com promptly so we can review it.
13. Third-party services and links
VALDICT relies on third-party providers and may display links, prices, sources, merchants, or other information from third parties. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their products, services, availability, pricing, security, content, privacy practices, or terms.
Your dealings with a merchant, contractor, travel provider, subscription service, or other third party are between you and that third party.
14. Beta service
VALDICT is currently a beta service. Beta features may be incomplete, changed, limited, suspended, or discontinued. We may modify interfaces, usage limits, models, features, pricing, saved-data behavior, and integrations during the beta.
You should not rely on uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance, experience outages, or temporarily disable functionality while improving the service.
15. Intellectual property
VALDICT, its branding, interface, software, visual design, original content, scoring presentation, and related intellectual property are owned by or licensed to VALDICT and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not transfer ownership of VALDICT intellectual property to you.
You may use VALDICT only for your personal, lawful use unless we separately authorize another use in writing.
16. Suspension, termination, and account deletion
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created security or fraud risk, misused the service, failed to pay amounts due, or if suspension is necessary to protect VALDICT, users, providers, or third parties.
You may stop using VALDICT at any time. Signed-in users may permanently delete their account and associated VALDICT data from the account panel by selecting Delete Account & Data and completing the confirmation steps. Account deletion cannot be undone. Certain records may remain with payment processors, infrastructure providers, or other service providers where reasonably necessary for transaction, fraud-prevention, security, backup, tax, or legal-retention purposes. 17. Disclaimers
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALDICT IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” WE DISCLAIM IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED AVAILABILITY.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.
18. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, VALDICT AND ITS OPERATOR, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, LOST DATA, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR LOSSES ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON A VALDICT RESULT.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO VALDICT WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO VALDICT DURING THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR (B) US $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
19. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of VALDICT, your violation of these Terms, or content you submit that violates another person’s rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from VALDICT’s own unlawful conduct.
20. Governing law
To the extent permitted by applicable law, these Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in this section limits consumer rights that apply mandatorily under the law where you live.
21. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as VALDICT changes. If we make a material change, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide notice in the app, by email, or through another reasonable method. Your continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
22. General provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our consent, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any additional policy expressly incorporated into them form the agreement governing your use of VALDICT.
